Job Description
We are looking for an experienced digital marketing executive, who will implement all acquisition related online initiatives for Pepperfry. These initiatives will need to reflect in visitor traffic to our site and successful conversion from visitor to buyer. The position represents an excellent opportunity for an individual to work in a fast paced entrepreneurial setup with some of the best minds in the online (and offline) retail space.
 
Specific Job Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for SEM & SEO plan implementation to meet business objectives for visitor traffic and customer acquisition.
    • SEM (Search Engine Marketing):
      • Must Have –
        • Complete hands on understanding of Google Adwords and its Offline platform (Adwords Editor).
        • Implementation, Optimization and monitoring of Paid Search campaigns on daily basis.
        • Keyword research using various tools (Including third party tools).
        • Strong understanding of campaign creation for new products/product categories from scratch.
        • Good understanding of various features and strategies used to do bid optimizations at ad-group/keyword level.
        • Strong understanding of various Display advertising features across GDN (Google display network) through Google Adwords.
        • Good understanding of Google Remarketing, Google Merchant center (Product listing Ads) etc.
        • Adept in making large-scale changes/implementations across the campaigns/adgroups/ad-copies/keywords on regular basis, with accuracy. (This, quite often can be on day-to-day basis)
        • Strong Analytical Skills.
      • Good to Have-
        • Understanding of Bing Adcenter.
        • Understanding of Google Analytics.
        • Understanding of Facebook Ads.
    • SEO (Search Engine Optimization):
      • Good knowledge of SEO strategies and their implementation.
        • Must Have-
          • Knowledge of Google Webmaster tool.
          • Web site evaluation & SEO recommendations.
          • Keyword Research and Mining via Social Media and Community tools.
          • On-page SEO including: internal linking, url structure, pagination and categorizing.
          • SEO Governance on regular basis.
          • Sitemap – creation & maintenance.
          • Robots.txt maintenance.
          • HTML error rectification.
          • Top Keywords & SEO performance reports.
          • Keep up with all of the latest trends in SEO industry.
        • Good to Have-
          • Good understanding of Off-page SEO Strategies.
          • Should have the ability to quickly scan through back-end and front-end code to identify issues.
          • Should have basic knowledge of HTML, content management systems (CMS), producing XML feeds and advising on RSS uses.

          Desired Skills and Experience

          Profile Requirements:
          • Organized & Detail-Oriented: Ideal candidate would be required to work on and implement large-scale campaigns and their full-scale optimization on regular basis, well within deadlines.
          • Excellent quantitative skills: Ability to optimize campaigns for ROI independently, analyzing trends/ROI and other KPI benchmarks.
          • Knowledge-seeker: Incumbent should have strong knowledge and hands on experience of SEM & SEO and should be able to keep himself/herself up to date with new features and opportunities in SEM/SEO and Digital Marketing.
          • Quick learner: Should be able to quickly understand new features/technology in SEM/SEO and implement the same.
          • Team player & Ownership: Should be a team-player with strong sense of ownership of the responsibilities assigned.
          • Strong academic credentials: M.B.A / B.Tech. / B.Sc. / B.A. – Maths/Statistics, Quantitative background required.
